The word vastakarva in Finnish is close to the Swedish word unruly, and the term means offensive defense in hockey. In November, KONTRÄR presents its first performing arts festival: FESTIVAALI Vastakarva. A Finnish festival showcasing some of Finland’s most interesting contemporary artists today.

The festival is organized in collaboration with UusiTeatteri, with support from Theatre Info Finland – TINFO and The Swedish-Finnish Cultural Foundation.
