We need 10,000 subscribers to cover essential costs: artists, staff, technical support, rent, and administration. Today, cultural budgets are not enough – not for independent groups, small stages, or even major institutions. This means art is often shaped by what sells, instead of saying what needs to be expressed.

We believe in art that dares to lead – that opens spaces in society for what is difficult, niche, or innovative.
Konträr aims to be that space. But it’s only possible if the audience makes it possible.
