In the performance A Mouthful of Tongues the voice is a hallucinatory terrain, from which many beings emerge. Stina Fors passes through a variety of voice techniques (growling, ventriloquism, tongue exercises and dinosaur screams). The body becomes a stranger to itself, multiplying, distorting and contradicting. For several years Fors has been researching the relationship between body and voice. With a certain taste for the absurd and strange, the dancer and choreographer creates a solo in which she allows multiple identities to be seen and heard through a distorted ventriloquist’s act.
