A traditional love album is usually written from a finished narrative, with the script polished, the lights rigged and the roles assigned.

Sibille Attar’s new album Amor Fati has the poor taste to unfold in real time.

The original idea may have been naive – a pure love album. Giddy, heady, ridiculous. But gradually, the emotional geometry begins to rearrange itself, and no one emerges with their dignity entirely intact. It is tender, embarrassing and almost impossible to look away from.

On 1 September, Sibille Attar brings her kitchen to KONTRÄR’s black box and invites audiences to a performance and an exclusive listening session featuring all nine tracks from the album, three days before its release.

At KONTRÄR, we invite artists who move freely between different forms and want to explore ways of meeting an audience beyond the traditional concert format. Sibille Attar’s artistic practice brings together pop music, composition, theatre, performance and visual art. In her work, darkness, humour, vulnerability and precision exist side by side. That is why we have invited Sibille Attar to move her kitchen into KONTRÄR’s black box. Here, the album, video work, performance and encounter with the audience become parts of the same work – an intimate first listen just days before Amor Fati is released.

Sibille Attar is a Stockholm-based artist, songwriter, producer, composer and multi-instrumentalist. She made her solo debut in 2012 with the EP The Flower’s Bed and was subsequently nominated for a Swedish Grammy Award for New Artist of the Year. Since then, she has released the albums Sleepyhead, A History of Silence, Sårad Ängel and BRUTAL, among others, and has created music for theatre, dance and installation art. Attar writes, records and produces her own music. Her forthcoming album Amor Fati is her first English-language album in five years and will be released on 4 September 2026.
