World premiere of The Tannhauser Dream, an immersive performance that combines cutting-edge VR technology and performing arts to explore grief, family dynamics, and the thin boundary between life and death. Through interactions between Alexandra and her deceased mother, memories, conflicts, and a desire to understand one another beyond the limits of what is possible are revealed in a surreal and emotionally charged narrative.
Choreographer and director Robin Jonsson is one of the few performing artists who has, over a long period, harnessed advanced immersive technology to create new artistic formats on new platforms and for new audiences. His work spans video games, robotics, AI, and immersive realities.
The audience wears VR headsets during the performance.
